Hickman County, Tennessee

Hickman County history started before Tennessee was even a state. The county was later named after Edwin Hickman who led a surverying party into what is now Hickman County in 1791. Hickman County the 8th largest county in the state and contains 612 square miles. There are more springs and scenic waterfalls in Hickman County than any other county in Middle Tennessee.

 


 

 

Located south-west of Nashville, Hickman County is situated between I-40 and Natchez Trace Pkwy. Highway 100 travels directly through Hickman county, making access to surrounding counties an easy travel.
